Nusrat Akter started this organization with the aim to empower the underprivileged children of communities by giving them proper education and a safe environment to build themselves and thus come out of the vicious cycle of poverty and ensure a good future for themselves and their families.

Ms. Nusrat is the recipient of “The Sher-e-Bangla A.K Fazlul Haque Award” in 2016, and “Mother Teresa” Award in 2017 for her sincerity, dedication, hard work, and strong leadership skill. United Movement Human Rights recognized Hashimukh Somaj Kallayan Songstha as the Best Volunteer Organization in 2018 for their outstanding performance, determination & dedication toward the development of underprivileged children.

More than 400 volunteers have been involved with Hashimukh Somaj Kallayan Songstha till now. The cohort of volunteers comes from diverse educational backgrounds with a shared goal to deliver meaningful and sustainable change in the lives of people from all strata of society. Volunteers work unconditionally with utmost dedication to ensure the proper utilization of all the resources of the organization towards achieving the goal. They are the change-makers and visionaries of today.
