Hashimukh Somaj Kallayan Songstha (HSKS) participated in the CBO Summit 2026, held on 24–25 June 2026, bringing together community-based organizations (CBOs), development practitioners, and community leaders working to advance inclusive and locally led development in Bangladesh.

The summit provided an important platform for Hashimukh to connect with fellow community organizations, exchange experiences, explore emerging ideas, and discuss opportunities for collaboration. Throughout the event, the Hashimukh team engaged with participants working across different areas of community development, reflecting the importance of shared learning and collective action in addressing complex social and development challenges.
A key highlight of the summit was Hashimukh’s participation through a dedicated exhibition stall showcasing eco-friendly arts and crafts created through its community-based skills development initiatives. The products reflected the creativity and potential of children and young people while demonstrating how skills development and environmentally responsible practices can contribute to meaningful community-level opportunities.

Hashimukh was honoured to receive the Best Stall Award at the CBO Summit 2026 in recognition of its eco-friendly arts and crafts display. The recognition was particularly meaningful as it reflected not only the work presented at the summit, but also the creativity, commitment, and contributions of the communities, children, youth, volunteers, and team members behind these initiatives.

The CBO Summit 2026 was organized by Breaking the Silence and Oxfam in Bangladesh, with support from the Australian Government, bringing together organizations committed to strengthening community leadership and locally driven solutions.

For Hashimukh, the summit was more than an opportunity to showcase its work. It was a space to listen, learn, build new connections, and reflect on how community-led initiatives can contribute to a more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable future.

Receiving the Best Stall Award has further encouraged Hashimukh to continue investing in skills development, creativity, environmental responsibility, and community-led solutions, while strengthening partnerships that can create lasting opportunities for underserved children, young people, women, and communities.
Hashimukh remains committed to moving forward with a simple belief: meaningful change grows when communities are given the opportunity, skills, and support to shape their own future.
