A high-level panel discussion titled “Rise With Dignity: Empowering Women Through Skills, Safety and Solidarity” was held at Dhaka University to promote awareness and leadership on women’s empowerment, digital security, and responsible citizenship.
Organized by Hashimukh Somaj Kallayan Songstha (HSKS), the event took place on Thursday, 18 December, from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the July Shaheed Smriti Bhaban Auditorium, adjacent to the residential halls.
A thematic dialogue—“From Awareness to Leadership: Educated Youth, Women’s Rights and Responsible Citizenship”—was also hosted as part of the program.
Students from various universities, young leaders, development professionals, and civil society representatives actively participated in the event.

Speakers emphasized that women’s empowerment is not just a social objective but a fundamental requirement for sustainable development.
In today’s digital age, ensuring women’s safety, dignity, and equal participation requires:

- Strong social solidarity
They also urged young people to practice ethical leadership, fact-based engagement, and human-centered values as responsible citizens.

The discussion was moderated by Salah Uddin Ahmed Reza, journalist and news presenter.
