Henry David Thoreau once said, ‘The language of friendship is not words but meanings.’ This perfectly resonated during the collaborative event by Hashimukh and the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo.” A remarkable display of cross-cultural collaboration and support took place on the 14th of August 2023. Hashimukh Somaj Kallayan Songstha, in partnership with the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo, organized an event named “Sowing Love, Reaping Friendship” at Bishwo Shahitto Kendro, Dhaka. The primary objective of the event was to uplift underprivileged students at Hashimukh School by distributing bags, stationery items, as well as hygiene products such as soaps and sanitary napkins.
The event witnessed the participation of distinguished dignitaries, including Visar Kluna, the esteemed Deputy Head of Mission representing the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo. Kluna addressed the audience with words of depth, stating, “Our purpose is to inspire children to pursue education despite challenges. Today, we stand together to offer our support and commitment to a brighter future for these children. The distribution of bags and hygiene items symbolizes our solidarity for their growth.”
Nusrat Akter, President and Co-founder of Hashimukh conveyed a message of unity and learning from diverse cultures. She remarked, “By embracing our shared humanity and goals, we cultivate a positive impact on lives.” She emphasized the significance of collaboration in uplifting the lives of those in need. After all, the best way to spread happiness is to be the reason for someone else’s smile.
At the event, notable personalities like Mohammad Awal, the Managing Director of Structural Engineering Limited; Fazal Mahmud Rony from Square; Nurul Islam, CEO of Well Food; and other esteemed members of society were presented. The occasion also featured a cultural presentation by Hashimukh’s students.
