On 5th August 2023, Hashimukh hosted its second urban health camp and social awareness session named “Senora Health Camp and Social Awareness Session” at BCSIR School, Central Road sponsored by Senora. The event encompassed diverse impactful activities, providing primary health check-ups, free medicines, and Senora sanitary napkins to attendees from Hashimukh and BCSIR School. An informative session on menstrual and reproductive health by experienced doctors has also commenced the event. The next session highlighting the significance of extracurricular activities for the mental well-being of adolescents was conducted by Sajida Foundation’s Mental Health Department, “Kaan Pete Roi”.
Saeed Jaralla from the Qatar Embassy appeared as a special guest. Nazirullah Obhi from DMP shared insights on juvenile crime and health, and Professor Dr. Syed Mozaffar Ahmed from BSMMU gave significant information on health and well-being. Notable figures like Syed Nurul Islam, CEO of Well Food, Rizwana Tabassum from the World Bank, and Sanjay Chakraborty from Save the Children were also presented and they enriched the event with a holistic perspective on societal concerns.
Zonta Club 4’s remarkable contribution of BDT 96,000 marked a milestone, providing sanitary pads to Hashimukh’s female students for a year. A quiz competition was held on primary health and hygiene and three top-scoring adolescent girls were rewarded with scholarships by Senora, for one year of their study. The event concluded with the unveiling of Hashimukh’s new logo by President and Co-founder Nusrat Akhter, encapsulating a journey of resilience and progress.
